Our Review Policy

Review Policy Summary

We keep things straightforward.

We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews.
We share our genuine experience, whether that is positive or negative.
Brands may preview content before publication for factual accuracy, but they do not have editorial control.

This is how we maintain trust with our audience.

Effective Date: 31/08/2025 (31st August 2025)
Last Updated: 02/04/2026 (2nd April 2026)

At 3D Print Land, transparency, integrity and creative independence sit at the core of everything we produce. This policy outlines how we approach product reviews, collaborations and related content.

1. No Paid Endorsements

We do not accept payment in exchange for favourable reviews or endorsements.

Products may be provided to us free of charge for review. This does not influence our opinions, conclusions or overall coverage. All views expressed are based on our genuine experience using the product.

2. Editorial Independence

We retain full editorial and creative control over all content. This includes video reviews, written content and social media.

No brand, company or individual has the ability to dictate the tone, outcome or conclusions of our work.

When reviewing a product, we aim to replicate a typical customer experience. This may include consulting manuals, online documentation and community resources before contacting the manufacturer directly.

If issues arise, they will be included in the final review. Where problems are resolved, this will be clearly communicated. Where they are not, this will also be shown so viewers can understand what to expect as a customer.

A poor experience during testing is not grounds for cancelling or removing a review. If a product performs poorly, the review will reflect that.

If a verified error is made during testing or reporting, we will correct it. This may involve removing and re-uploading content to ensure accuracy and fairness.

We are not responsible for any commercial impact resulting from our reviews. Our role is to provide honest, experience-based feedback.

3. No Obligation to Publish

We are not obligated to produce or publish content for any product received.

If a product does not meet expectations or is not suitable for our audience, we may choose not to cover it.

4. Review Process

The following outlines the typical process used when reviewing a 3D printer. Not all steps are guaranteed in every case.

  • Overview of advertised features based on official product pages
  • Unboxing, assembly and initial setup
  • Evaluation of included tools, documentation and digital resources
  • Test prints using provided files and recommended settings
  • Additional test prints using alternative slicing software where applicable
  • Assessment of performance using a range of materials, primarily PLA, with others such as PETG, ABS and TPU where supported
  • Evaluation of print quality, dimensional accuracy and fine detail
  • Testing of larger prints and long duration jobs
  • Testing of features such as power loss recovery, filament runout detection and safety systems
  • Review of firmware availability, support resources and community presence
  • Consideration of available modifications and improvements

We aim to complete a minimum of 100 hours of printing to reflect real-world usage wherever possible.

5. Pre-Publication Previews

We may offer brands the opportunity to preview content before it is published. This is strictly for factual accuracy.

Previews do not grant editorial control.
Suggestions may be made, but we are not obligated to implement them.
All final decisions remain with us.

6. Disclosure

In line with UK advertising standards and best practice, we clearly disclose when content includes gifted products, paid promotions or affiliate links.

7. Types of Content

We produce different types of content, which are clearly identified where relevant:

  • Independent reviews with no payment involved
  • Sponsored content or paid integrations
  • Affiliate-based content

Receiving a product does not guarantee coverage and does not constitute sponsorship.

8. Content Ownership and Licensing

All content created by 3D Print Land remains our intellectual property.

Content may not be edited, reused or redistributed without prior written permission.

Licensing for use in advertising, brand channels or other commercial activity can be arranged separately.
